We are a mission driven non-profit organization that aims toaccelerate the low-carbon economy and tackle local fuel poverty.
As well as this website and the organisation of various events such as the annual Going Electric show, lectures and open homes events, Wight Community Energy offers bespoke energy advice to homeowners.
Our consultation service takes a holistic view of homes, and how they are used considering your specific circumstances. You can discuss your aspirations and priorities with our consultant to determine where energy and carbon savings can be made – they are not always obvious!
This approach gives you time to ask questions about the many buildingupgrades and technologies on the market. We will assess your property to determine the condition of and the scope for improvements in flooring, walls, roofs, openings and heating systems. Our consultant is qualified to give retrofit advice and perform retrofit assessments on modern and traditional buildings. Following the assessment visit we will provide you with an easy-to-understand report that spells out which steps are recommended to improve the energy efficiency of the home and the order in which they should be applied for best effect. We also offer a free follow ups including an online meeting where we can dive into any aspects of the report that require further explanation.
